Glendalough House offers a variety of activities to clients and guests in search of one-stop-shop solutions to their day-on-day corporate and private hospitality requirements. A suite of day and night, indoor and outdoor activities and function opportunities have been developed in an attempt to derive the maximum enjoyment for end users all the while keeping their comfort and safety to the fore.
The House and its buildings are located deep inside the estate’s 1500-acre grounds, far from the usual hustle of modern daily life. To this effect, and with the exception of events such as concerts and festivals, most activities, sports, functions and entertainment occur regularly with little or no concern to the outside world. As well, the property is accessed by private invitation or prior booking only, thereby ensuring security and peace of mind to clients wishing not to have to worry about or bother with mundane onlookers.
Centered around the House and immediate lawns, general activities such as archery, falconry, teambuilding games, quad bike riding, grass karting, arena riding and clay pigeon shooting are fielded. To the extremities of the property reach adventure sports such as horse trekking, mountain bike riding, 4x4 driving, orienteering and hillwalking, trout fishing, handball and river walking (Glendalough House even offers bespoke boot-camp style outdoor fitness, conducted by General Manager and personal trainer, Gordon ‘Gmac’ McMillan, that takes in some of the wider more rugged expanses of the available terrain and a gym, for those who are up for it!).
